The Los Angeles Kings signed Chromiak to a one-year, two-way contract on June 3, 2025, worth an average annual value (AAV) of $775,000 for the 2025-26 season. Chromiak had the best statistical season of his professional career in 2024-25 with the Ontario Reign of the American Hockey League, setting career highs in goals (18), assists (21), and points (39); he also tallied five power play goals in 69 regular-season games. Chromiak is not a lock to make his NHL debut during the 2025-26 season, therefore offering nothing in fantasy. Even if he does, he would be primed for a bottom-six role, limiting his fantasy value.

Chromiak was assigned to AHL Ontario to wrap up his first NHL training camp with the Kings. The Czech forward has been one of the fastest risers within the organization over the last two years and will look to continue that trend in his first professional season. Chromiak scored 44 goals and 86 points in 2021-22, playing alongside Shane Wright for the Kingston Frontenacs. He is an offensive talent on the rise, and if he can continue to elevate his offence as he did in junior, he could find himself with an opportunity to play games at the NHL level sooner rather than later.

Chromiak torched the OHL this past season for the Kingston Frontenacs where he put up 86 points across just 60 games played. He is extremely strong on the puck when he has it on his stick and is not afraid to go dig the puck out in scrums along the boards. A natural shooter, Chromiak is dangerous from the edges with a lethal wrist shot. He has a quick release and can get into the open lanes to shoot or pass. Chromiak is strong on the backcheck as well, using his stick to break up plays and can pick the pocket of the opposition with little error, which bodes well for his game adapting to the NHL level. Chromiak projects to become a middle-six player when he cracks the NHL lineup with time on a power-play unit, but we can expect to see him dress for the Reign in 2022-23 as he continues his ascent through the ranks.

Chromiak has signed an amateur tryout agreement with the Ontario Reign after recent news that the OHL season has been officially canceled. The forward has spent all season on loan in Slovakia and has scored 19 points in 32 games with HK Dukla Trencin. This contract should be telling of Chromiak’s development and if he does well could earn himself an entry-level deal. He will require quarantine before suiting up for the Reign but will likely get a look in the team’s top six with some power-play time considering his goal-scoring ability.

The 18-year-old has been slotted onto the team’s second line for Team Slovakia at the 2021 World Junior Championships. The winger has a great shot and will need to use it to generate offense if Slovakia has any chance to make noise this tournament. He has only been able to pot one goal through the team’s first three games but did score his lone goal against a strong Canada side. If the OHL season does not start up, Chromiak will find himself back in his native Slovakia on loan where he has five points in eight games with HK Dukla Trencin.
