was the next development step. On July 1, the Rangers traded him to Boston along with a 2028 fourth- round pick in the Joonas Korpisalo deal, giving him a fresh organizational start. The skating is fluid for his

frame, and the Liiga pedigree includes U18 and U20 World Junior appearances for Finland. The offensive production at the AHL level will determine whether the tools translate to an NHL role. Boston has a forward pipeline that values size and two-way play, and Vaisanen fits that mold if the hands and finishing catch up to the frame. Fantasy relevance is limited to deep dynasty stashes. The upside is a third-line winger who can play a net-front role, but that outcome requires consistent offensive growth over the next two AHL seasons.

Vaisanen was acquired by the Boston Bruins as part of the trade package for goaltender Joonas Korpisalo.

Vaisanen played the 2024-25 season on loan with Ilves in the Finnish league, after signing his three-year ELC with the Rangers prior to the season. In 48 games played, he posted nine points and a minus-nine rating. Nothing has been announced as of yet regarding the organization’s plans for the big Finnish winger, as to whether or not he will remain overseas for 2025-26.
