Julien is expected to turn pro during the 2025-26 season with the Winnipeg Jets’ AHL affiliate, the Manitoba Moose, in the American Hockey League. After an offensive breakout in the 2023-24 season with the London Knights, Julien’s regular-season offensive numbers in 2024-25 dropped off significantly; he produced 54 points (11 goals and 43 assists) in 65 games, a drop off from a 29-39-78 stat line during the 2023-24 regular season. His 2025 post-season numbers during the OHL playoffs were more impressive; he had 19 points (six goals and 13 assists) in 17 games.

Julien was not drafted for his goal-scoring ability, but was better known for his playmaking ability and defensive game, making it hard for his opponents to play against him. For a 6-4 player, he skates well and does not take a shift off. He will not be relied upon in the pros for his point production; instead, he will be looked at to kill penalties and be a reliable bottom-six player who can match up against the opposing team’s better players. Julien will not have a high ceiling but will have a solid floor and should become a dependable bottom-six NHL player. He does not need to be rostered in dynasty leagues at the moment; if his playmaking ability translates to the AHL, it will put him on the radar of dynasty leagues and make him a consideration for rostering.

Winnipeg Jets fifth-round pick (146th overall) in the 2023 NHL Entry Draft, Julien, who is playing in his second consecutive Memorial Cup, scored the game-winning goal in the London Knights’ 3-1 victory over the host Rimouski Oceanic at the 2025 Memorial Cup. It was Julien’s first point of this year’s tournament for London. The Knights are 2-0 heading into their third and final game of the round-robin portion of the tournament on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, versus the Western Hockey League Champions, Medicine Hat Tigers, led by highly touted 2026 NHL Draft prospect Gavin McKenna.

Julien and the London Knights will play the Oshawa Generals in the OHL Finals, matching Julien up against the Winnipeg Jets’ 2023 first-round draft pick (18th overall) Colby Barlow for a chance to represent the Ontario Hockey League in the 2025 Memorial Cup in Rimouski, Quebec, from May 22-June 1, 2025. The Knights are undefeated heading into the final versus the Generals, and Julien is fifth in team scoring in the 2025 OHL playoffs with 15 points (four goals and 11 assists) in 12 games. Should London win the J.Ross Robertson Cup as OHL Champions, it would be Julien’s second consecutive Memorial Cup appearance.

The Winnipeg Jets signed Julien to a three-year entry-level contract on March 6, 2025. In 58 games for the London Knights, he scored 10 goals and 35 assists for 45 points during the 2024-25 season.
